Victoria Stulgis is President of Black Bear Energy, the leading owner’s representative for onsite renewables. Prior to taking the reins from Founder Drew Torbin, Victoria led the client operations team and worked closely with over 100 of the leading commercial property owners in the U.S. Victoria and her team issued RFPs for over 1 GW of onsite solar annually. Over 10% of the forecasted U.S. C&I solar capacity comes out of this work.
Victoria’s clients include some of the largest and most forward-thinking REITs in the US, and are leading owners of industrial, office, mixed-use, retail and multifamily assets. She has personally helped clients install 100's of MW of operating solar and as well as storage projects.
Victoria has been working on business solutions to climate change for over a decade. She joined Black Bear from the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI), where she worked with leading Fortune 500 companies and renewable energy developers on offsite utility-scale renewables within the Business Renewables Center (BRC), which has since spun out as CEBA. Before RMI, Victoria worked for Richard Branson’s climate change NGO the Carbon War Room.
Victoria earned her MSc in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford and her BA in History with a focus on Energy & Environment from Georgetown University. Victoria is based in Carbondale, Colorado and in her free time, enjoys skiing powder, ski-touring, and exploring the Roaring Fork Valley’s mountains, rivers and lakes with her dog and husband.
