STAG Industrial, Dimension Energy, and Black Bear Energy Celebrate Energization of 9 MW Rooftop Distributed Solar Projects in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania — August 17, 2026 — STAG Industrial, Inc. (NYSE:STAG) recently energized three new rooftop solar projects across Pennsylvania, marking another significant step in their deployment of distributed solar. With a combined capacity of 9MW, these installations will generate 10.6 million kWh of clean electricity annually. Developed by Dimension Energy, a leading developer, owner, and operator of distributed energy infrastructure, and facilitated by Black Bear Energy, a commercial buyer's representative specializing in onsite renewable energy, these projects further expand STAG’s leadership in implementing onsite and distributed solar across their extensive nationwide portfolio.

STAG now hosts 49.5MW of onsite solar across 29 properties in ten states. These Pennsylvania projects strengthen their existing track record of successful deployments, including a three-rooftop, 2.7MW New Jersey community solar portfolio and three Maryland community solar projects totaling 11.6MW. Collectively, these initiatives help power thousands of homes and businesses with lower-cost clean electricity.

“STAG remains committed to deploying distributed solar solutions that drive both economic and environmental benefits,” said Brian LaMont, STAG’s SVP of Development & Sustainability. “Hosting rooftop solar not only aligns with our broader sustainability strategy but also supports state and regional decarbonization goals, delivering low-cost energy to local communities while advancing Pennsylvania’s clean energy future.”

These installations not only advance STAG’s sustainability goals but also demonstrate the tangible benefits of mid-sized solar projects. According to findings from a recent Aurora Energy Research report, mid-sized solar developments in Pennsylvania could lower electricity costs by approximately $1 billion over the next decade. Canary Media’s insights into Aurora’s findings emphasize the rapid deployment potential of mid-sized solar—defined as systems in the 1MW to 20MW range—that connect to local grids and can be stacked into gigawatt-scale portfolios to deliver meaningful bill savings for customers statewide. The three new STAG–Dimension–Black Bear Energy Pennsylvania projects are representative of this emerging class of assets.

This STAG portfolio also includes some of the first projects to come online in PPL under a recently approved rate settlement. That settlement supports distributed power projects up to 3MW in size. As energy prices skyrocket across PJM, projects like these are delivering in-state power generation, lowering energy bills, and supporting local clean energy jobs, aligning with the broader benefits described in both the Aurora Energy Research report and Canary Media’s analysis of mid-sized solar in the state.

“These Pennsylvania projects represent a significant step in lowering energy costs through local, affordable energy projects,” said Sam Younes, Co-Founder and Chief Development Officer of Dimension Energy. “Dimension is proud to partner with STAG and Black Bear Energy in delivering solutions that not only benefit local communities but also set a precedent for scaling distributed power nationwide.”

Since 2016, the partnership between STAG and Black Bear Energy has enabled the efficient scaling of solar across STAG’s geographically diverse industrial portfolio. Black Bear Energy’s expertise in portfolio analysis, RFP management, and transaction support allows STAG to advance solar projects without building an internal renewables development team. Utilizing lessons learned from prior projects in New Jersey, Maryland, Massachusetts, Illinois, and other key markets, STAG and Black Bear Energy have streamlined the processes of site selection, roof-rights negotiations, and interconnection strategy for the Pennsylvania sites, shortening development timelines and enabling repeatable deployment at scale.

“This milestone underscores the collective strength of our partnerships. By collaborating with STAG and Dimension Energy, we are bringing meaningful economic value to all stakeholders involved and surrounding communities,” said Victoria Stulgis, President of Black Bear Energy. “These projects are a testament to the power of strategic alignment in scaling value-creating rooftop solar portfolios.”
