At Black Bear, Tanner manages projects through the development and construction phases, from contract execution to final system acceptance. In his role, he focuses on quality and efficiency throughout the design, permitting, interconnection, and construction phases for solar and energy storage projects across the U.S. Before joining Black Bear, Tanner worked as a Project Engineer for a regional Colorado EPC firm, managing the bidding, design, and installation of municipal and commercial solar projects. Prior to working in Colorado, Tanner learned the solar industry through volunteer involvement as a project lead assistant for SunWork in the San Francisco Bay Area. Tanner holds a bachelor’s degree in Biological Systems Engineering from the University of California, Davis. He has been a NABCEP® Certified PV Professional since 2018.
