Black Bear Energy is a Legence company.

Randelle supports Black Bear Energy’s procurement and development teams by providing both transactional and strategic guidance on complex renewable energy and battery storage projects. She works closely with clients to negotiate and structure a range of agreements, including leases, power purchase agreements, design-build contracts, and operations and maintenance arrangements.
With more than seven years of legal experience, Randelle brings a strong background in land use, regulatory and statutory compliance, administrative law, and civil litigation, with a focus on environmental and energy matters. Before joining Black Bear, she served as a Special Assistant Attorney General in the Environmental and Energy Unit of the Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office, ending her tenure as a litigator by arguing and winning two cases before the Rhode Island Supreme Court. She also completed judicial clerkships with the Rhode Island Superior Court and later with the Chief Justice of the Rhode Island Supreme Court.
Randelle holds a Bachelor of Arts from Wellesley College, where she majored in Environmental Studies, minored in Economics, and earned a Sustainability Certificate. As a varsity athlete on the cross-country and track teams, she earned eight All-American honors and was the 2011 NCAA Division III National Champion in the mile. She received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Vermont Law and Graduate School.
Outside of work, Randelle enjoys spending time in nature, particularly exploring the Rocky Mountains with her dog, Rose. She continues to run—now focusing on marathons and ultramarathons—and practices yoga when time allows. Randelle is based in Colorado.
