VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Mike builds relationships and develops solutions for our existing client base, potential new clients, and channel partner network. Almost 15 years of experience in sales, business/project development, and consulting form the base of his expertise in energy, water, and environmental sciences. Prior to joining Black Bear Energy, Mike lead channel sales at Tesla for their energy storage division, served as director of sales for two startups, and for 9 years developed solar and energy storage projects at SolarCity. While at SolarCity, his projects totaled over 90MWs and more than $300M in revenues and included numerous new-market entries (first commercial energy storage installations, first projects closed in numerous states plus Puerto Rico and Canada, first commercial PV/EV projects, etc). Mike graduated the Bren School at UC Santa Barbara, where he earned a Masters of Environmental Science and Management (MESM) with focus in energy, water, and conservation biology; and he previously earned his undergraduate degree in Communications from the University of Central Florida.
